Jonny Clayton extends his contract with Roaring Red Dragon
Jonny Clayton, one of Darts’ fastest rising talents, extends his contract with Red Dragon seeing the red-hot Welshman stay with his native darts brand until at least 2026, in his plans to keep moving towards the very top of the PDC World Rankings.
Jonny said "Winning the World Cup with Gezzy in November was amazing, but I never thought it would end with another TV title and a Premier League spot. I'm so lucky to have had this success and I am always mindful of the team behind me both professional and family that really helps me and that backing is essential."
Jonny cut his teeth in the ever-competitive region of West Wales, jostling for an international place in the much-coveted Welsh squad. However, with the persuasion of local players like Jamie Lewis to have a crack at the PDC, that saw the change in Jonny’s game vastly improve as the self-styled Ferret settled into life on the PDC Tour with his usual no messing aplomb.
Jonny's has long been part of the Red Dragons Senior Playing Team, and his next step up into the PDC soon saw him strike up a superb relationship with Darts management team MODUS.

Jonny's fascinating journey through the ranks in the PDC has been one of steady progress, almost unspectacular to the untrained eye, but his Red Dragon and Welsh team partner in crime had backed Jonny from day one, as current World Number 1 and World Champion Gezzy Price said, "Jonny had played more darts than me now by the time he was 30, and when we first met you could see his passion to play and the raw talent he has. Having Jonny as a World Cup wining partner was amazing as he's the senior player and you’re really starting to see the real Jonny now".
