what you need: the basics
Darts is one of the easiest sports to get in to. You simply need 2 things to get started. Something to throw, DARTS, and something to throw at, a DARTBOARD! We’ve compiled a list of some of each that are perfect if you new to this fantastic game. We also suggest getting a DARTBOARD SURROUND to offer some wall protection from stray darts!

getting ready: set up
All our dartboards come with clear fitting instructions to help you fit your new product to the wall correctly. When setting your dartboard up, the bullseye should be 5ft 8ins (1.73m) from the floor & your oche (where you throw from) needs to be 7ft 9 ¼ ins (2.37m) from the front of the dartboard. If you are unable to fit your dartboard to the wall, we offer Dartboard Stands with ultimate stability to give you the same experience as if you were throwing at a wall for real. See our instructional set up video below for more!

practice makes perfect
Whilst Darts is very easy to get in to, it can be very hard to master. But with some dedicated practice, quick improvements can be made. We work with a number of partners who specialise in practice games aimed at helping you improve.
game on: where to play
As a sport, Darts has one of the most inclusive communities with there being numerous options for players of all ages & abilities to get involved.
For Juniors starting out, the JDC provides a brilliant environment for learning the game & competing against other young players.
The ADC, offers players the chance to compete in the nationwide system, where you can play locally and earn ranking points to qualify for national competitions.
As well as these two organisations, there are countless local leagues operating across the UK.

Once you’ve got your dartboard set up at home & are beginning to get the hang of things, you will probably want to improve your set up to make sure you are getting the most out of your playing experience. This can mean getting a Dartboard Light, to improve your visual experience when throwing. Or if you are living with others and want to reduce the noise you give off, check out Winmau’s Wispa Noise Reduction System. Also you can add a mat to ensure you throw from the correct position every time. Finally, you may wish to add a Scorer to your Dartzone, to give it that authentic league feel.
personalise your set up
Now you’re getting better & playing more, you will want to start give your darts that signature look. There’s no better way to kick this off than with Custom Darts Flights, you can choose any design you want to give your darts that personal touch.
You’ll also need a case or wallet to carry them around when you are travelling to different events. We have great options that covers players with just the one set of darts, all the way to FOUR sets!!!
Another way to add a touch of flair to your darts is the shafts (also called stems), you can get varying lengths, styles & materials to suit you and your throw.
