Barn Social began the new campaign in the Four Oaks and District League with a bang has they handed out a 9-0 whitewash to Boldmere Sports. R Liggins was in fine form for Barn has he recorded a 151 checkout and also finished his game in nine darts.
The opening fixtures saw no fewer than four maximums chalked up by, B.Linnecor (Midland Red) whose team beat Anvil Nomads 5-4, with P.Allen responding for the Nomads. Other players to find the three treble twenties were A.Cole (Old Oscott Arrows) and G.Nicholls (Rose and Crown), both of the teams going down 7-2 in turn to respective opponents Old Oscott WMC and Good Hope Flights.
Other results saw Kingstanding Ex Servicemen’s Club win 6-3 at home against Hill Social and Hardy Spicer travel to Bromford Lions and gain a 7-2 victory.

In the Rik-Fit League bottom of the table Dingle recorded their first points of the season when they won their home tie against Greenlands Flights 5-4, after Greenlands had previously won their game with Old Mill 8-1. There was a maximum each for I.Meldicote (Old Mill) and K.McKeown (Navigation).

Camp were in superb form in the Kings Norton 501 Summer League as they accounted for both Perfection and Greenwood with 7-0 wins, while Navigation had a close 4-3 verdict in their encounter with the Man On The Moon.

The Kings Norton League are on the lookout for more teams, both old and new, to join them in their forthcoming season. The season will get underway on the 25th October. The Tigers found themselves trailing 3-1 to The Tribe in the G.U.L.P. Charity League, but fought back to earn a tremendous 4-3 win to maintain their unbeaten run. The Barmy Army kept the pressure on the Tigers with a 4-3 win at the Victoria Beasts. At the other end of the table Red Devils move off the bottom following their 5-3 win at the Red Lion Flights.

There was a foot of the table clash in division two of the Tamworth Cue Sports League when Glascote Club took on the sole team below them Boot Inn. The result was an important 5-3 win for the Boot, sixteen years old B.Hawksworth, with top shots of 140 and 2x100 adding his win to the Boot’s tally. The win lifts Boot above Glascote, who are now the only team in the division without a win so far.
