After their somewhat surprising defeat, against a weakened Hobs Meadow team, Highwood, with the help of a maximum from Kevin Gibbs, returned to winning ways in their latest fixture beating Harvester 7-2. Andy Hutchings was also in form for leaders Highwood Arrows, chalking up an eights darts leg in their 9-0 whitewash of Old Bill and Bull. In the Coors Brewery sponsored Belgrave Social Individual League Mark Hollyoake has played his outstanding fixtures and in the process not only caught up with the rest of the players on matches played, but actually passed them all as he has raced into pole position. With only a handful of games remaining Hollyoake on 221 points is a massive 27 clear of his nearest rival Colin Farrington and no less than 46 ahead of third placed Mick Smith.

Highest finish of the week went to Gordon Clinton. In his 3-0 win over Brian Evritt, Clinton registered a tremendous 160 finish.

High scoring wins for the top two teams in the Small Heath league as leaders Heartlands Club on 7-2 at home to the Antelope and second in the table Custard House won 8- 1 away to Ward End Ex Service Club. As a result Heartlands hang on to their two points lead over Ward End, but the Ex Service Club do have a game in hand.
