Greenlands, leaders of division two in the Harborne 401 Summer League, continued their push for promotion with a 9-0 whitewash of Travellers Rest. In division one Brook failed to turn out and as a result second placed Bartley Green Social Club were awarded a 5-4 walk over. Hobsons Choice won their home fixture against Ladywood Social by 5-4 despite J.Martin hitting a maximum for the visitors.
R.Jeffries (Bear and Staff ) was another player to find the three treble twenties, but his team also lost in their division three game with Harborne Stores.

With one week remaining in the Sheldon and District Summer League Shard End Social have already won the group one title. In their latest outing Shard End beat Sheldon Dukes 5-3 with G.Clarke scoring a 180.A.similar 5-3 verdict by Lea Hall Mixed over Millhouse in group six confirmed Mixed as champions.
J.Randell (Sheldon Heath Social), J.Evans (Stechford Social) and T.Bunting (Glebe) all notched maximums in their respective games.

Selly Park, reigning champions of the Irish Centre Four a Side Ladies League began the new campaign with a vital win over last seasons runners up Northfield. Helping Park to their 12-9 victory was Vicky Hanlon who not only hit 7x100 but also checked out on 106. Handsworth have changed their name to Acocks Green and they also began impressively with a 15-6 win against Sheldon.

There were two shock results in the Acocks Green Summer League as Langley Hall stormed to a 5-4 home win over Tyseley WMC, this being only the second time Tyseley have been defeated. Robin Hood provided the other surprise victory as in their home tie they beat third placed Journeys End 6-3.
In the semi finals of the Knockout Cup Tyseley yet again finished on the wrong side of a 5-4 scoreline, their exit coming through the darts of Shirley Legion. Joining Shirley in the final will be Britannia Arrows whose 5-4 success was at the expense of the Robin Hood.

Stirchley United made it twelve straight wins in division one of the South West Birmingham Clubs Summer League when they won 5-2 at Selly Oak Flights. K.Mason was on form for Stirchley chalking up a 180. Leaders of division three, the Grange had their S.Rainy record a 10 darts game as they won 6-1 at Longbridge Arrows. Solihull Municiple’s J.Staite broke with 160 in his teams 5-2 at Moseley All Service, the same scoreline by which Tascos ‘B’ won at Northfield Wanderers, Moseley’s M.Welsh checking out in ten darts. Best win in the third division went Longbridge Bar who whitewashed MCC 7-0.
