In the Harborne and District Winter League premier division, an eight darts leg from R.Mann (Greenlands), was not enough for his team to avoid a 5-4 defeat at the hands of the George, who are currently top of the table. With the help of a 160 break from P.Clifford, Midland Red scored an emphatic 8-1 win at home to the Golden Cup.
Stonehouse remain with an unbeaten record in division two after beating second placed Hillyfields ‘A’ quite comfortably 7-2. Bugle Horn who are also challenging for honours had a convincing 8-1 verdict against Cock Inn.
It’s as you were in the third division as leaders Highlander kept up their 100% record with a 7-2 win at Stonehouse Flights. Avenue Social, in second place won 6-3 at the Village Stump.

An unusaully quiet week for individual performances in the Sheldon and District Winter League. In division one T.Weston recorded an 8 darts game for Lea Hall RBL as they lost at home 6-3 to Mackadown Social. In the same division Great Western lost by the same scoreline at Kingshurst Labour Club, Western’s R.Dale breaking with 160.
Biggest win of the week went to the Dovecote in division two. Playing at home Dovecote defeated Shard End Social Flights 8-1.

After suffering two defeats in the Bass Breweries and Bristan Ltd sponsored Minworth Double Top League last week, Alan Grainger sprung back to top form by beating sixth placed Barry Salter 3-0. Alan’s win keeps him in pole position on 51 points but close on his heels is Alan Mayell, whose similar 3-0 victory against Colin Farrington leaves him just one point short of Grainger with the advantage of a game in hand.
Gordon Clinton notched a maximum as he went down 2-1 to Steve Parry.

Selly Park have opened up a twenty points lead at the top of the Irish Centre Four a Side Ladies League, their latest win being against Sheldon, 15-6. Sheldon have now, as a result of their defeat and Northfield’s 16-5 success over bottom of the table Sutton, dropped a place and are fourth. Northfield with 89 points take over third position.

S.Davis was in fine form for Bagot Arms in the Amber Windows League recording both nine and eleven darts winning legs as his team won 5-4 at King Edward 7th. However Davis’ team mate C.Betteridge went one better as he checked out in just eight darts. Best win of the week went to K.C.A. who had a 7-2 home win against Yew Tree Colts.

Top player in the Small Heath League was Saltley Flights M.Birch who had breaks of 105 and 160 to help his team to a 7-2 win over Montgomery’s. McDwyers were the top scorers chalking up a clear cut 8-1 victory over Red Hill. Sheldon Flights won 6-3 against the Victoria while Gables had a 5-4 verdict over the Custard Bar.

Kingstanding’s Andy Mountford won the Warwickshire County Embassy play off to book his place in the finals at the Lakeside Country Club on Thursday 2nd December. Mountford joins county team mate Andy Smith in the finals who qualified as a result of his Wesh Open victory. Trina Gulliver’s World Cup Singles success is her ticket to the finals.
Qualifying for the event for the West Midlands is Ian Jones. Jones, who in his semi final game against Avtar Singh hit no less than three maximums and nineteen scores of a ton or over to win 2-1. His final encounter was against Tipton team mate Steve Parkes, which he won in straight sets.
