E.Davison (Black Horse) and T.Randell (Custard House) were on the mark this week in the Small Heath Summer League. Both players broke with 160 and helped their teams to respective 7-2 and 6-3 wins over Red Hill and Sheldon Heath Flights. McDwyers, also in fine form defeated Saltley Flights 7-2 to keep them in pole position on 8 points. Black Horse are level on points with the leadrs but behind on average. Red Hill remain the only team yet to record a win.
A reminder to all players that the Jimmy Manning singles knockout is being played on the 4th July. No one will be allowed to play if they have not paid their entry fee.

The final of the Harborne and District Winter League’s Skipp cup provided something of an upset when Midland Red went down 9-6 to Bartley Green Social Club in a very hard fought but entertaining encounter.
Greenlands took the Skipp Consolation cup title with a comfortable 12-3 victory over Stonehouse Flights.

The George, leaders of division one of the Harborne 401 Summer League overpowered Bartley Green Social Club beating them 8-1, J.Cannon breaking with 160 and D.Johnson notching a 180. Stonehouse won the local derby agaginst Stonehouse Nomads 5-4.
Highlander who lead division two, with the aid of a maximum from P.Sedgwick scored an impressive 6-3 win at Bartley Green Social Flights. Second placed Hobsons Choice won a very close encounter against Lickey Banker 5-4 despite R.Monk hitting a 180 for the losers.
A maximum 170 break from T.Johnson and an eleven darts game by G.Archer saw division three’s top team, the Cock Inn, beat Raven Ladies 9-0.

Three Horse Shoes strolled to an easy 8-0 win over Mackadown Sports and Social in division two of the Sheldon and District Summer League with two of their players, T.Price and W.Mathews hitting maximums.M.Birch (EBAHA) was the only division one man to find the three treble twenties as his team lost 5-3 at Smiths Wood Snooker Club. The only other maximum of the week was in divison six where A.Hoskins (Millhouse) was on the mark. However, his team also lost 5-3, to Sheldon Shoes.

Trebles were not a problem for K.Gibbs (Highwood) as he broke with 160 and scored 180 in his teams 7-3 defeat at Stechford Social. M.McCormack (Mackadown) also hit 180 and again his team lost, 6-4 to Red Arrows. Silver Wings had a 5-5 draw at the Harvester, R.Radford breaking with 160. Red Arrows man C.Hall chalked up the league’s quickest leg so far this season, a great seven darter.
In the ‘B’ division divisional cup Warwick Aero, Heart of England and Hobs Meadow Mixes progress to the next round at the expense of the Old Bill and Bull, Cock and Hens and Fordbridge Social.

There’s just no stopping Lesley Newcombe. In the latest round of fixtures in the Irish Centre Four a Side Ladies League her team, Sutton, recorded a 15-6 win over Yardley. Lesley in addition to 6x100,123 and 140 recorded her third 180 in ten games. In the other match played Selly Park beat Northfield 12-9.

Janet Dudley was in good form in the Birmingham Ladies Double Top League as she beat both Pat Bradshaw and Marion Walker 3-0.
