Warwickshire are back in action in the premier division of the BDO Inter Counties Championship this coming weekend. They will be playing hosts to Glamorgan at the Belgrave Sports and Social Club, Tamworth. A 160 break by K.Fisher was not enough for Silver Wings to avoid a 5-4 defeat at home to Red Arrows in the Forest of Arden Winter League. As a consequence Wings have now dropped a place in the table and are now third level on points with both Hobs Meadow Mixes (second) and Mackadown Social (fourth). Leaders Hobs Meadow chalked up a 7-2 victory at the Harvester and with only seven fixtures remaining they now have a six points advantage over their rivals, which looks a championship lead.
J.Lacey (Poachers Pocket) was another player to break with 160, however, his team went down 6-3 at the Cock and Hens.

Lickey Banker, leaders of the premier division of the Harborne and District Winter League, bounced back from their surprise defeat last week with a 9-0 whitewash against Stonehouse.J.Merrick (Ladywood Social) was in top form recording an eight darts leg, but not so his team mates as they lost 5-4 to the Bartley Green Social Club.
Highlander stay on course for the division two title, winning 6-3 at the Golden Cup and in the third division Bartley Green Social Flights powered to a 9-0 win against Stonehouse Flights to hold on to pole position.

Dave Shorthouse has opened up a six points lead at the top of the Bass Breweries sponsored Minworth Social Individual League. Dave’s latest 3-0 success against Richie Baker has given him a total of 115 points. Tony Randell has had 3-0 wins over Tony Whitehouse and Barry Stephens to put him in second place on 109 points with a game in hand on Shorthouse.
Best finish of the week went to karl Stephens, who in his 2-1 win against Richie Shenton produced a maximum finis of 170. Hitting the highest score of 180 were Rob South, Steve Shenton, Gordon Clinton and Keith Kelly, who also recorded a 13 darts leg.

Custard House continue to march on in the Small Heath Winter League, a 7-2 victory over the Nest extending their unbeaten run to seven games. Second in the table Black Horse suffered a setback in their title bid as they went down 6-3 at Sheldon Heath Flights. Both teams now have eight points, six adrift of Custard House. Red Hill chalked up their first win of the campaign, a 5-4 home win over Saltley Flights.

In division one of the Longwood Winter League top team Dolphin had a 5-3 win over Three Tuns to give them a total of 12 points from seven games. Three Horse Shoes, who had their game with Red Lion ‘A; cancelled, are three points behind the leaders with two games in hand.
Wilnecote Club who head division two were surprisingly held to a 4-4 draw at home to Red Lion (Wilnecote), this was Red Lion’s first point from seven fixtures.
