A Look Back in Time - Alan Towe 2001-05-09
A 160 break from J.Martin and a 180 from J.Merrick was not enough for Ladywood Social to avoid a close 5-4 defeat at the hands of the Midland Red, in division one of the Harborne 401 Summer League. The win maitained Red’s 100% record so far. The George were too hot for Bartley Green FC as they ran out 9-0 winners with a maximum by A.Lissemore. Another 180 was recorded by J.Good (Raven) in a 6-3 victory over Hobsons Choice.
Kings Highway did a demolition job on Bartley Green Social Flights in division two as they hammered them 9-0 and in the process kept up their unbeaten run. Village Stump also handed out a 9-0 whitewash to their opponents Stonehouse Flights. Highlander ladies got the better of the 5-4 result in the all ladies clash with Stonehouse Ladies.
