Mark Hollyoake, reigning champion of the Minworth Social Individual League, continues to set the pace in this season’s campaign. A 3-0 win over Phil Jones gives Hollyoake a total of 100 points from 23 games. Peter Allen is Hollyoake’s nearest rival. Having played 21 games Allen is 11 points adrift of the leader he beat Steve Davis 2-1 and followed that with a 3-0 success against Ricky Lawrence. David Thomas hit two maximums in his 3-0 win over Lance Thompson as did Richie Shenton as he defeated Steve Cain 2-1.

Congratulations to T.McGlone (Midland Red) who has won the Harborne 401 Summer League Individual title. McGlone was in superb form in the quarter finals when he hit 180,145,140 and recorded an 11 darts game in his straight 2-0 win over D.Bourne. He then went on to book his final place with a 2-1 win against R.Kinsella and then claimed the crown with a 2-0 victory against S.Pasetti (Hillyfields).

Only three points separate the top two players in the Sportsmans Rest Double Top League. A 3-0 win over Clive Vickers and a 2-1 success against Richie Shenton gives David Platt 99 points and pole position. Peter Allen has 96 and played one game fewer. His latest fixtures saw him beat Derek Fardon and Jimmy Frost 2-1, hitting two maximums in his tie with Fardon. Other players to find the three treble twenties were Richie Shenton, John Ainsworth, Steve Cain, Harvey Tebble, David Platt and Trevor Frost.

With 180’s from T.Kelly and M.Heaven, Three Horse Shoes consolidated their number one spot in group one of the Sheldon and District Summer League beating St Annes 7-1. Stechford Social lost ground on Shoes, returning from Castle Vale Residents with only a 4-4 draw. Stechford, on nine points are second and one point behind the leaders.
In group two there were 7-1 wins for the top two teams, Saltley Amateur Gardeners and Malt Shovel, who respectively beat Hen and Chickens and Shard End Social Flights. Group three provided the biggest shock as second placed Sheldon Heath Social lost 6-2 at EBAHA. This was EBAHA’s first win in six. Top team Hobs Meadow won 6-2 at Shard End RBL Flights to open up a three points advantage. There was an upset in group four, Yardley Ex Colts going down 6-2 at home to Shard End RBL, while Glebe C.C. chalked up a 6-2 home win over Victoria Flights to give them a four points cushion at the top of the table.

KCA are champions of the Aston League, with Heartlands taking the runners up spot. In addition KCA also won the league’s K.O.Cup and finished as runners up to Heartlands in the Aston Social Cup.
