Despite losing their last game against Bedfordshire 20-16 there were encouraging signs as both of the ladies teams finished all square at three each and the men’s ‘B’ made it two consecutive 7-5 wins, the men’s ‘A’ were the only team to lose in the fixture and remain without a win in their last ten games Hoping to end the men’s ‘A’ and the team’s drought will be Men’s ‘A’:- Jamie Barrowman, Andi Chatter, Derek Coulson, Chris Fox, Kevin Harris, Danny James, Brian Hickman, Scott Meyrick, Richard Parker, Simon Pritchard, Nathan Storar, Adam Thackray, Men’s ‘B’:- Paul Bromley, Joe Cook, Pete Eley, Andy Gilbert, Rob Harris, Colin Hill, Andy Mullinder, Neil Powell, Martin Riggs, Darryl Sheldon, Rob Trumper, Matt Williams, Reserves:- Neville Quinton, Andre Knox, Rob Henderson, Darren Manning, Dan Boot, Louis Burley, Tim Eley, Women’s ‘A’:- Stephanie Clarke, Sophie Fawcett, Julie Griffiths, Kat Mclean, Michele Pritchard, Marie Riggs, Women’s ‘B’:- Debbie Davies, Allison Gallagher, Sharon Harris, Sue Lane, Caron Minton, Cheryl Owen, Reserves:- Cally Jones, Tracey Knox, Lisa Wills.
Gloucestershire v Derbyshire After eight consecutive defeats Derbyshire broke the ice when in their last home fixture in division three of the BDO Inter County Championships they beat Tyne and Wear convincingly with a 20-16 result, they will be hoping to add to that win when this coming weekend they travel to take on Gloucestershire who are third in the promotion table. Derbyshire have four remaining fixtures to lift themselves off the foot of the table and dispel any fears of relegation. With confidence high after their last win a second result in their favour could be just the tonic to see them end the rough spell they have had over the last two and a half seasons.
