Alan Towe’s The Line On Darts

A total of fourteen pairs turned out to do battle for Warwickshire’s play off for the Riley’s BDO Darts Gold Cup. Taking the title were Rob Hawker of Castle Vale, who teamed up with Mike McFall of Sutton Sports. The duo beat Long Itchington pair Simon Power and Steve Ward in the final by a 4-2 margin.

Reigning champions Tommy Ryan and Antony Allen were seeking another Lakeside trip but their hopes were shattered when they were beaten 4-3 by Steve Giddings of Coventry Bishopsgate and Ian McFarlane from Sutton Sports.

Losing semi-finalists were Paul Deslandes and Dave Harris who lost out to Power and Ward, while Hawker and Mcfall defeated Leamington’s Mark Strong and Dave Sanders. The grand finals will be staged at Lakeside Country Club Frimley Green Surrey on 29th June.
