Alan Towe’s The Line – Unique or What?

The Pip Club League, Tamworth, Staffordshire have come up with something of a unique and fascinating format for their league this season. The league is comprised of thirteen teams, all of whom will play each other and the results will go into a combined league table. However, in addition to this the league have seeded the teams to make a six strong division one and seven team division two.

The points obtained by the teams each week will then go into both the combined league table and also their respective seeded table, thus making it possible for a team to win two league titles in one season.

After the first couple of opening fixtures the leader of the main division is the Dolphin, who also head division one, but division two leaders Belgrave Club are also third in the main division.

Confusing!! Not really, a very interesting format that could easily catch on with other leagues.
