Made a good start in this tournament coming from from 2-1 down to defeat Coventry’s Scott Rand 4-2, hitting 2 x 180’s in the fourth leg and finishes of 146 and 160 to seal victory.

I then followed through with a 4-2 win over Steve Werrett in the second.

The draw was made and I was to meet Jamie Caven next.

I never took my foot off the gas throughout the game beating Jamie with an impressive performance 9-2.

In my next match I was drawn against John Bowles and after a closely fought match, I lost 9-8 after having two darts to win the match.

I was disappointed with that result, but now have to focus on qualifying for The World Matchplay in Blackpool next month.

So I’m off for my practice session now.
