Bridgend Darts Premier league playoffs.
On the sunday playoffs in the Bracy^s premier league the good darts started from the off, with county darter Rob Owen overcoming league winner John Williams 8-7 to book his place in the final for the Dai Farmer trophy.
This then placed Josh into the semi final to see who would play Rob for the shield. In the first game on Sean Fisher overcame Tony Davies in a very close 8-7 win. In his Game John Picton received a bye, due to Dai John being unable to attend sundays play.
This then place Fisher against Picton, and it was Fisher who ran out the winner with and 8-4 win, to book his place to play Josh Williams. Williams showed why he had won the main league with a 9-4 victory over Fisher.
In the final Rob Owen struggled a bit, and it was Williams who ran out the winner to lift the Dai Farmer trophy for the first time with a 10-1 over Owen.
Sean Fisher added another two 180^s during sundays play to make his overall tally for the four days play of 14 180^s, the top for that weekend, but still six short of the current league record.
In the JCB Scaffolding division one playoffs to go up to the premier league Gary Hodekinson overcame Allan Morgan 8-2, and Clive Carpenter narrowly lost 8-7 to Aaron Williams. Hodgeninson, and Williams then played the player in the lower playoff coming down from the prem. Hodgekinson overcame Andrew Watkins 10-1 to book his place in the premier league, but Williams wasn^t so lucky Loosing out 10-5 to Darren Rees.
The Peter Dennis minibus hire division two playoff had Steve Keelock overcoming Mathew Martin 8-1, and Steve Price beating Chris Dykes 8-3. Steve Keelock then beat Wayne Carroll 10-8 to book his place in division one, and Steve Price beat Chris Hillman also by 10-8 to book his place.
In the Soap^s Dry Cleaning division 3 Richard Williams beat Liam Squires 8-3, and Michelle Lloyd also beat Stefon Coombs 8-3. Williams then went on to beat Gareth Jones 10-5, with Michelle Lloyd getting a bye due to Nick Winn not being able to make sundays play.
The Menz Barbers division four playoff had Ian Austin beating Kyle Hemming 8-4, and John Clayton beating John Hillman 8-5. Austin the won 8-0 against Lyndon Philip, and Clayton overcame Steve Humphries 8-3.
In Seahorse sponsored division five Reita Jones had a bye in her first game, and Nick Thomas won 8-5 against Andrew Hillman. Unfortunately neither gained promotion, with Jones loosing 8-6 to Rhys Griffiths, and Thomas also loosing 8-6 to John Thomas.
