Article: Can Clayton Go Back to Back?

Can Clayton Go Back to Back?

Tonight, Jonny Clayton will make his second consecutive appearance in the Playoffs of the Premier League. This time from the Mercedes-Benz Arena, Berlin.

In tonight’s opening Semi-Final, the Ferret will face his close friend Joe Cullen for a spot in the Final. Jonny will be able to take confidence from the fact that he is the reigning Premier League champion, and knows what is required to lift this title, whereas his opponent is in his debut campaign.

The head-to-head battle between Jonny and Joe has been fairly even in this year’s Premier League, with the Welshman coming out on top with four wins to the Englishman’s two. These include a Final win over the other for each player.

Should Jonny retain his title tonight, he would become just the third player in history to win the Premier League in consecutive years, alongside Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen.

The Premier League playoffs will begin just after 8PM BST, and will be televised live on Sky Sports in the UK or with any of the PDC’s broadcast partners. To check how to watch tonight’s action where you are, please follow the link below:
