Darts : Coral Bookmakers Announces Darts Sponsorship Deal

Looking to benefit from the recent increasing popularity of darts, Coral.co.uk, the online betting brand of the Gala Coral group, has signed a headline sponsorship agreement with the Players Darts Championship which begins later this month.

With the top 32 players from the 2008 Players Championship Order of Merit battling for £200,000 in prize money, the inaugural Coral.co.uk Players Championship will be held at the Circus Tavern in Essex, with the tournament being screened live on ITV4.

Barry Hearn, PDC Chairman said: "We^re delighted to welcome Coral as the headline sponsor for the Coral.co.uk Players Championship. We thank them for their support of this new event, and their backing is a reflection of the interest this event has created in the sport."

The winner of the Coral.co.uk Players Championship will take home £50,000, with the runner-up receiving £25,000.
