Darts: Darts threes hit the target

THE Sea Angling Club was the venue for this year^s Island Threes and League Doubles.

Ten teams took part in the Island Threes and in the prelim round Willie Reid, Willie Lockerby and Jamie Reid knocked out David Scott, Murdo Macleod and Hughie MacConnell 4-2.

Also in the prelims Alex Keller, Andy Dowie and Kenny Macleod won 4-2 against Ian Mac, Dan and Gordon.

In round one David Campbell, Ivor and Bananas had a terrific 4-1 win over Dol Norrie, Craig and Sam.

In one of the legs ^Bananas^ took out a brilliant 152 (T20, T20, D16) checkout.

Also winning in round one were Murdo Alex, Griddy and David Mac. They had a 4-1 win over Don, Mark and Calum Ruddy.

Finlay, Babz and Willie Jeff lost 4-2 to Andy, Alex K and Kenny, and Willie R, Jamie and Willie L got the better of Keith, Ian L and Compo 4-0.

The Lochies trio of Willie R, Jamie and Willie L marched into the final after a no-nonsense 4-0 semi final win over David C, Ivor and Bananas.

Also into the final went Andy, Alex K and Kenny after a 4-2 victory over David M, Murdo A and Griddy.

The final was won almost single handed by young Jamie Reid. Jamie hit two maximum 180s and had a 136 (T20, T20, D8) checkout for the Lochie trio to win 5-3.
