With 4-0 wins over Daniel Munge and Ryan Barritt plus a 4-2 success against Matt Gallett Will Naylor has once again returned to the top of the Kingstanding Double Top League with a total of 52 points which is two more than former leader Mike McFall, who after being held to a 3-3 draw by Chris Turnbull then went on to win 4-1 against Paul Cummins.
Third in the table Pat Koyce has caught up with some of his outstanding games playing eight in which he won 4-0 against Brendan Lysaght, Paul Cummins and John Morrs, 4-1 against David Harrison, Tony O’Kereke and Daniel Munge and was held to a 3-3 draw by both Adam Gallett and Chris Packer to give him 49 points which despite being three fewer than leader Naylor he does have two games in hand, wins in those would see him take over the number one spot.

With only a couple of week’s league fixtures remaining in the Sheldon and District Summer League a 4-4 draw away to The Pirates in division two has given Mackadown Social the second division title. With 12 points from seven games they have just one remaining fixture as do second placed Marston Green Tavern but they trail by four points.
Iron Horse have guaranteed themselves the division four title with an emphatic 8-0 win over Highwood Exiles ‘A’ to give them 13 points and a lead of six over their nearest rivals Willclare Sports and Social who have played six games one less than Iron Horse.
The other four divisions are still up for grabs The Digby require just one more point to secure division one, division three will be battled out between Solihull Moors and Holy Souls, Moors having a two points lead on Souls both having three to play and division five could be interesting as leaders Shirley RBL Misfits have 10 points with two to play and second in the table Sheldon Marlborough Arrows are on 7 points with three to play.
Just one point separates the top two in division six Langley Hall Sports and Social Flights have 14 points and Maggies 13 both have two games remaining.

There were five results from the South Birmingham League’s two divisions this week, all of them ending with a 7-1 scoreline. In group one top side Mackadown Social won their home tie against second in the table The Punchbowl to put them six points ahead of both Punchbowl and Banbury Flights.
Leaders of group two Erdington Members Club beat third placed The Dog and at the other end of the table Kingfisher are still seeking their first points of the season as they lost to The Raven.

The last fixtures of the season in the Winmau Centre Monday Night League at the Wolverhampton Sports Arena decided who finished as league champions and it was the 43-5 win by The Untouchables over wooden spoon winners Double Trouble that gave Untouchables the title with 891 points just four more than runners up Bully Boys who ended their fixture card with a 41-7 win against Here For The Beer. Best game of the final night was supplied by Make Mine A Double and John’s Klan in which there were 10x180’s, 2x15 darts games and a 116 checkout, the result was 34-14 to John’s Klan.
Jason Hough (Misfits) was the league’s average winner with John Evans (Bully Boys) runner up while the highest finish, a maximum 170 was achieved by Karl Noakes from Three Men And A Lady. Kristian Wharton (Cupid Stunts) hit the most maximums a total of 30 and three players recorded the least darts of eleven, Andy Busby (The Untouchables), Roy Blackwell (Bully Boys) and Kieron Stanford (Not So Far Travellers).

Divisional Cup semi finals were the order of the day for the Forest of Arden Summer League and in the division one games second in the table Riley’s Red Arrows won 5-2 against second from bottom Greville Arrows and Journeys End beat Iron Horse 4-1.
There were 5-2 wins for both Sheldon Marlborough Flights and Greville Arms in the division two games as they in turn accounted for Highwood Exiles and Crown Arrows.

Week 29 of the Brierley Hill Monday Night League provided a rare win for bottom of the table Brickmakers Arms as they recorded a 6-3 home win over Tenth Lock who are six places above them, this was only Brickmakers third win in 28 games. Next to bottom Old Star also won making it six in 28 games when they chalked up a 7-2 win at the Griffin who are just above them and are two points ahead of them.
Dudley Sports ‘C’ kept their title hopes on track with a 5-4 win at Bulls Head, Netherton to maintain their two point’s lead over Bridge ‘B’ who won their home tie with Liberal Club 6-3.
Fourth placed High Acres lost ground as they went down 5-4 at home to ninth in the table Dudley Sports ‘A’.

With more than three quarters of the season completed Kevin Harris holds a 27 points lead at the top of the Winmau Centre Thursday Night Champions League his latest fixtures seeing him have a close 4-3 win over Kristian Wharton followed by a more convincing 5-2 against Steven Homer. Second placed Kenny West does have three games in hand on Harris but his title hopes were given a blow when he lost 5-2 to fourth in the table Mick O’Neill, however he did recover from that and went on to beat Tam Singh 6-1. O’Neill followed his win over West with a similar 6-1 win against Andy Whale and although he is on 134 points, 36 fewer than Harris he has six games in hand on the leader, six games which carry a possible 42 points.

Spring Meadow’s 6-1 win at The Widders keeps them in pole position in the Halesowen Monday Night Ladies League but only on average from Park Lane Tavern whose latest 4-3 win at Hare and Hounds puts them on the same 26 points with a game in hand.
It was not such good news for Spring Meadow in the Captains Cup as they lost to The Widders and now have to share the number one spot with Black Horse who beat Haden Cross.

Last Friday Riley’s Snooker Bar, Solihull staged the final of their scheduled twelve play-offs for the Darts Club Championship and their last two players through are Lee Bryan who won 4-0 against Andy Bray in the final and Martin Partridge who had a 4-2 result against Nick Fullwell, the two players will join previous winners Michael Smith-Neale, Jamie Robinson, Mike Green, Tony Randell, Luis Barberan, Rob Singleton, Wayne Mynard, Dean Sanders, Graham Hall and Tom White in a contest this coming Friday at the Solihull club to find the Club Champion, then the top four players from each of the sixteen participating clubs will go forward into the Riley’s Darts Club Championship Final on Saturday 5th September to produce the Club GB Champion who will receive £1,000, plus there will be other cash prizes for the runner up £500, losing semi finalists £100 each, losing quarter finalists £50 each, last sixteen £25 each and last thirty two £20 each.

The Midlands Regional play-offs were held at the Blues Club, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire with players representing nine different counties, Warwickshire, West Midlands, Norfolk, Nottinghamshire, Worcestershire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Cambridgeshire.
West Midlands fared well with Grace Angell winning through in the girl’s event, Lisa Astbury in the ladies and Shaun Carroll and Jason Lowe in the men’s. Warwickshire’s Adam Paxton also got through in the boy’s completion. All the winners will now go forward into the finals at Hull City Hall on the 8th-11th October.

Week four of the Black Country Premier League saw a first defeat for Wynall Warriors going down 10-2 at Woodside Poachers, a defeat that saw them drop from second to fourth in the table.
Springfield Rifles continue to lead the field their 12-1 win at Hounds of Wynall giving them an unbeaten eight points, but Blackheath Beechers also kept up their undefeated record as they won 12-2 against Mighty Mitre.
Black Country Belters moved off the foot of the table recording their first win of the campaign a 9-5 away win against Railway Buffers who together with Storming Stags are the only two teams from sixteen without a win so far.

Tony Carroll has taken over the number one spot in the Safe Harbour Double Top League, after a 3-0 win over Gez Oldfileld he suffered a defeat by the same scoreline against next to bottom of the table Terry Denneny but nevertheless his 28 points keeps him four ahead of second placed James Clarke who had 2-1 wins over both Ron Clarke and Karen Clarke, he has one game in hand on Carroll.

Wins for the top six teams in division one of the Wolverhampton Tuesday Night League Wednesfield FC still leading the way on average from ECC after handing out a 7-0 whitewash to their visitors Merry Boys, while ECC had a close 4-3 verdict at Bradmore ‘B’ who were the only losers in the top seven teams.
In the second division Pheasant have lost their number one spot following their surprising 4-3 defeat at home against Three Crowns who are seventh in the table. Taking over at the head of the table is Whitmore Reans WMC with a 6-1 win at Wednesfield Legion ‘B’, Roebuck who won 4-3 against fourth placed Fordhouses CC are on the same 32 points as Whitmore but trail on average.

J W Belgrave gained an important 11-5 away win in division two of the Pip Club League when they beat third in the table Pip Club to take their points tally to 56, ten more than their nearest rivals Sports Bar ‘180’ who won 12-4 at Royal Oak.
In the bottom of the table clash between bottom side Bulls Head ‘B’ (Polesworth) and next to bottom Globe Inn ‘B’ the latter had a very impressive 16-0 win and go two points ahead of their hosts.
