In division one The Beehive go top by just one leg of average replacing Boldmere St Mikes after their 9-0 win at Pint Pot Flights. Should both teams win their final games the title will be decided by who wins by the biggest margin and Boldmere have the toughest task as they will play away to third in the table Golden Hind while Beehive have a home tie against fourth placed Old Oscott WMC.
In the second division leaders Golden Hind Arrows lost 5-4 at Brookvale Social who previously had only won five of their fifteen games, the defeat keeping second placed Bishop Vesey still in with an outside chance of snatching the title.

Two more wins for the top two teams in the premier division of the Sheldon and District Winter League, leaders Crown at Shard End winning their home tie with Saltley Amateur Gardeners 7-2 to keep them two points ahead of Crown at Olton who won their game at East Birmingham Allotment Holders Association 6-3, but Olton do have a game in hand on Shard End.
In division one an 8-1 home win over Marston Green Tavern has taken Solihulll Moors another step nearer the title but they have to keep a close eye on second placed Iron Horse whose 5-4 home win over Sheldon Marlborough Flights has taken their points tally to 22, eight short of Moors but they do have two games in hand and there are still games to play.
A 7-2 win at Small Heath Amateur Gardeners has kept Crown Arrows top of division two giving them a total of 26 points, Highwood Arrows are just two points behind following their 7-2 win at Ridgemere Social.

Riley’s Sports Bar, Solihull staged the latest of their ever increasingly popular Last Sunday in the Month Open’s and taking the top prize of £110 was Nick Fullwell who beat fellow West Midlands County player Ian Jones 6-4 in a thrilling final, Jones as runners up received £70.

In the last four games Fullwell won 5-2 against Graham Hall while Jones had a slightly closer 5-3 verdict against Neil Parsonage. The losing semi finalists each received £20.
The winner of the Plate Competition was Dean Saunders who had a straight 3-0 victory in the final against Neil Clarke, Saunders collected £40 and Clarke £20.

It was cup week in the Pip Club League, first the Belgrave Cup in which Bulls Head ‘A’ (Polesworth) and Bichmoor Club both won through to the next round in division one after beating in turn Prince of Wales and Pip Club. The doubles knockout was the order of the day for the Forest of Arden Winter League and in the men’s event it was the pairing of Jason Jennings and Andy Howell who were successful as they took the title with a final 2-1 win over John Sidwell and Bob Nixon.

The Halesowen Friday Night Singles League are up to match eight and in group ‘A’ J.Gale with 7-0 wins over J.Smith and A.Smith is on 47 points six more than R.Hill in second place who also had a 7-0 win over R.Langford but then lost 4-3 to L.Law, but he does have two games in hand on Gale.
In group ‘B’ D.McConomy leads the way with 45 points after his 7-0 defeat of N.Jones, second placed S.Oakley lost ground as he went down 4-3 to S.Carey and is now six points off the top.

In the Tamworth League Prince of Wales ‘A’ who are top of the league lost the local derby against their ‘B’ side who are third by 4-3, however the ‘A’ team remain in the number one spot with 117 points from 14 games, Fox and Dogs are second they won 6-1 against Progressive Club to leave them five points adrift of the top side and Prince of Wales ‘B’ are twelve points adrift of their ‘A’ team with a game in hand.
