Darts News – Alan Towe’s The Line On Darts – Berkshire v Derbyshire

Derbyshire are enjoying a very successful season so far in division two of the Riley’s BDO Inter County Championships having won five of the six fixtures played so far only dropping points in their last outing which was a home tie against third in the table Somerset.

This coming weekend the top four teams in the division will be squaring up to each other as leaders Cleveleand (145 points) will be playing away to Somerset (133 points) and Derbyshire (135 points) will be travelling south to take on fourth in the table Berkshire (122 points).

The outcome of the two fixtures should be very interesting as all four teams are in with a possible chance of promotion, but Cleveland and Derbyshire both really need to win their games as in the penultimate fixture of the campaign Cleveland will play hosts to Derbyshire, that could well be a promotion and divisional title decider.

Lining up for Derbyshire will be, Men’s ‘A’:- Adrian Asprey, John Clifford, Tony Cresswell, Nigel Daniels, Gary Fenn, Paul Mellor, Rob Needham, Steve Pashley, Peter Slater, Drew Smith, David Smith-Hayes, Reece Spurr, Men’s ‘B’:- Dave Allcock, Christian Bradshaw, Richard Hanson, Steve Homer, Richard Rawding, Colin Rich, Darran Sinfield, Michael Smith, Rob Smith, Alan Statham, Doug Walker, Rob Wood, Reserves:- Jim Beardmore, Ian Byard, Ian Hannah, Paul Jones, Antony Palfreyman, Tim Rippon, Lee Stanley, Women’s ‘A’:- Kelly Dean, Jane Densley, Kirsty Handford, Joanne Oldershaw, Michelle Philliips, Jackie Sweet, Women’s ‘B’:- Rachel Ayres, Rachel Bird, Dee Fenn, Lynda Gilbert, Sara Harrison, Louise Rawson, Reserves:- Dawn Buckley, Kerri Buckley, Nicola Fletcher, Janice Pearce, Donna Phillips, Sarah Quinn, Beverley Worthington.
