Darts: No shock as Electra take darts title
Sleaford and District Winter Darts League
THE winter league has now come to an end, with Electra A convincing winners of the Division One crown. They won all 14 of their games to finish eight points clear of newcomers Horseshoes A, who carried on their tremendous progress up the leagues to be runners-up, two points ahead of Musicians Arms in third place.
The highest check-out during the season was 138 by R Silson.
The battle for honours in Division Two was a much closer affair, with Horsehoes B just edging out Heckington Squash Club to be top of the table. Horseshoes B won nine of their 12 games to pick up 18 points, while Heckington Squash Club finished two points behind on 16 points.
Such was the competitive nature of this division that there were two teams on 14 points, with New Inn, Folkingham taking third place from Electra B and narrowly missing out on promotion.
R Saul recorded the highest check out in this division with 125.
Nags Head, Heckington were the runaway winners of Division Three, winning every one of their 14 games to take the title. White Horse Colts were runners up, winning 10 of their 14 games.
Only two wins separated the teams who finished third to seventh, while bottom club Nags Head, Great Hale got a well deserved win at the end of the season.
Highest check out by a male player in this division was 145 by A Young, while the highest check out by a female player was 112 by P Silcock.
*The league^s finals night will be held at the Legionnaires Club, Watergate, Sleaford on Friday.
Entries for the summer league need to be handed in at the White Horse, Carre Street, Sleaford no later than April 6.
