German Weekend 22nd & 23rd October
Two tournaments this weekend at the Van der Valk Hotel in Gladbeck.
Travelled back from Crondon Park Friday morning, couple of hours at home for something to eat and repack my case.
Nanette took me to the airport, the only time we’ve had a proper chat for a while.
Found I had forgotten my travel plug and also my darts for a while before I found them in a pocket.( panic over)
Disaster on the Saturday went out first round so went and had a curry and a pint like you do.
Made it to the last 16 on the Sunday beating Olaf Tupuschis 6-4, John Michael 6-3. Mark Hylton 6-1 and then Chris Aubrey played some excellent darts beating me 6-3.
Wes Newton produced a nine darter in the second round against William O’Connor but lost the game 6-4.
James Wade won the Saturday tournament defeating Justin Pipe 6-3 and denied Justin his pro tour treble, Colin Osborne was the winner on the Sunday defeating the Northamptonshire based James Richardson 6-2. James has been in great form lately.
Just found out that William Hill is sponsoring the Grand Slam, that’s great news.
Off to Benidorm this weekend, no not for a holiday but two more pro tour events.
