ELITE AND JUNIOR DARTS HIT NOTTINGHAM

Nottingham is bracing itself for the elite world of darts hitting the city on Thursday 9th February 2017. As the Premier League arrives at the Capital FM Arena, a new exciting initiative is being launched in Room 180 at the Clifton Campus of Central College, Nottingham.

The PDC and JDC are pleased to announce the recommendation of a junior darts set up for under 10's to be endorsed for future participation. Further research will take place in Room 180 for the new under 10 regulated oche length and board height for the official development of young dart players. School children from the local Glapton Academy, will join Room 180 for a darts development session to further develop this exciting step for junior darts. The session will include curriculum focused darting activities and practical darting practices. PDC star and JDC Director, Steve Brown will help lead the session which promises to be a huge step forward with Steve’s mission of “putting darts in children’s hands of all ages”. Steve will join us in Nottingham, fresh from a tour of Australia developing the JDC and darting infrastructure down under.

The JDC will also launch the Greenzone Warriors, an exclusive club, for under 10 years of age dart players. The exciting JDC approach of: Greenzone board, under 10's Darts set up and the Greenzone Warriors Club will, in time, provide youngsters of a very young age, the ability to belong, compete and enjoy darts at their level. This will provide an initiative suitable for developing skills, knowledge and enjoyment of the game of darts.
