LEWIS HITS THE JACKPOT AGINST RED DRAGON DARTS STAR CARLOS.

Adrian ^Jackpot^ Lewis capped a memorable few weeks by claiming the first ever Austrian Open Players Championship with a narrow 6-4 victory over Red Dragon^s Spanish star Carlos Rodriguez. ^Jackpot’ also hit a brilliant nine-darter in the final and immediately dedicated the win to his daughter who was born last month. ^Becoming a Dad has changed my life," he said. It was also a great weekend^s work for Spaniard Rodriguez, whose final appearance secured a £3,000 prize and also sealed his best performance in a PDC ranked tournament. The former soft-tip darts star has recently signed a sponsorship deal with Red Dragon darts and a bright future awaits the talented arrowsmith as he makes his way in the professional game. ^ I am delighted with my weekend^s achievements and hope this is a sign of things to come^, said Rodriguez.

It was a great weekend for Team Red Dragon as Rodriguez overcame another of their sponsored stars in Alan ^The Saint^ Tabern in the semi-final. The St Helen^s based star continuing his great run of form in the PDC floor tournaments. ^I am really happy with a semi-final finish declared ^The Saint^ and I am just hoping I can take my floor form onto the big stage in the future^ he added. Meanwhile another Red Dragon sponsored star in the shape of Chris^ Hitman^ Thompson managed an impressive run to the last 16 - his best tournament finish for a while. ^I have been struggling a bit of late^ admitted the York based star, ^However I will take heart from this and I hope I can keep it going^.
