MODUS Super Series - Henderson 8 Clear in Group A

John Henderson took an 8pt lead after Day 2 of Week 3 Series 5 in the MODUS Super Series, after claiming a clean sweep of wins at the Live Lounge. The Scotsman produced the highest average of the week in beating Fallon Sherrock 4-2, hitting a score of 106.90 and 4 180s in Portsmouth.

The Highlander also included an impressive 154 checkout in his 4-3 victory against Marko Kantele in the opening match of the day, finding treble 20 and 18 before hitting his favourite double tops. The ADC Europe Qualifier found a ton plus checkout of his own earlier on in the match, hitting the bull for a 123 finish and a 2-0 lead.

The former World Cup of Darts winner will confirm his spot in Finals Night if he were to win his opening match on Wednesday against Fallon Sherrock, and 2^nd placed James Hurrell were to fall to defeat against Mareno Michels.

Fallon Sherrock MBE is 3^rd in the Group A standings behind the former WDF Number 1 on legs difference, with both finding 2 wins after the Second Round of Round Robin fixtures. Hillbilly included a 120 finish in his 4-2 win over the former Women’s World Matchplay winner, with both ending Day 2 with 10pts each.

Adam Lipscombe found his first win of the week, beating James Hurrell 4-2 in his opening match of the day. Adam ended the day with 3 wins after also beating both ADC Europe Qualifiers Mareno Michaels and Marko Kantele, but remains bottom of the group behind the pair by 2pts going into Day 3 at the Live Lounge.
