PDC Q-School Made Easy
The 2021 Edition of PDC Qualifying School is just around the corner and takes place over 8th-17th February, with a host of well-known players looking to claim one of the 29 Tour Cards up for grabs and a place on the prestigious PDC pro tour.
The PDC has once again done a phenomenal job in adapting to Covid-19 restrictions to ensure this year’s Q-school goes ahead, featuring a new-look format.
We give you the run-down on how this year’s system works so you can keep on top of all the action.
Here’s exactly how it works
PDC Global Q-School 2021 has three distinct phases in 2 locations - Milton Keynes, UK and Niedernhausen, Germany both with Phase 1A | Phase 1B and Final Phase.
There are a total of 668 players fighting for a maximum of 29 Tour Card places.
In the UK there are 365 players in phase 1A + 1B where 96 will go through to meet the 32 pre-qualified final phase players.
In Europe there are 253 players in phase 1A + 1B where 110 will go through to meet the 18 pre-qualified final phase players.
Phase 1A UK Q-School 183 players - February 8th to 10th random generated list from 365 entries.
Phase 1B UK Q-School 182 players - February 11th to 13th random generated list from 365 entries.
Phase 1A European Q-School 127 players - February 8th to 10th random generated list from 253 entries.
Phase 1B European Q-School 126 players - February 11th to 13th random generated list from 253 entries.
The 50 (32 UK / 18 Europe) Final Phase players are those who lost their tour PDC tour card at the end of 2020, Top 16 of the PDC Challenge and Development Tour.
Final phases in both locations takes place with 128 players at each venue from the 14th to the 17th of February.
Final Phase in the UK Q-School will see approximately 18 PDC Tour Cards issued.
Final Phase in the European Q-School will see approximately 11 PDC Tour Cards issued.
UK Q-School caters for all players from the United Kingdom, Ireland and British Overseas Territory (including Gibraltar)
European Q-School is for players from the Rest of Europe.
Players from outside Europe can choose whether to join the UK Q-School or European Q-School.
