Article: Pro Practice Leagues

Pro Practice Leagues

After the opening weeks of Pro Practice Leagues 6 & 7 the tables are beginning to take shape and we have seen some pretty sensational darts. The amateur players are testing the Pro’s at every opportunity and the standard can be awesome.  On the other hand those of lesser experience are being inspired to play there best stuff and improve a quite a rate.

In the Pro Practice we tend to use the players nicknames. This is both to add to  the informal fun atmosphere and also to prevent anyone of the newer players feeling embarrassed or under pressure. League 6 (Stoke) is currently being headed by Mr Chairman ( a Cheshire darting Stalwart?) whilst League 7 ( Birmingham) is headed by “Mile High”.  A low total of 85 darts( league 6) for 6 winning legs and 81 ( League 7) should give some clue as to the standard at the top end. However it should also be noted that almost all players are winning matches regularly and competing at every level Professionals have already suffered defeats and very close calls!
