Scarlets Masters Qualifiers with Red Dragon

This year celebrates the 3rd year of Scarlets DartsMasters and the second year of the Scarlets MastersQualifier for any darts player to get through and playthe best players in the world.

The idea behind the qualifier was to open up WestWales biggest darts bonanza to the dart player inthe street, getting everyone involved in a simplequalification event, with an amazing prize at the end.The simple format sees every player throw nine dartsthree times with the highest 8 players going throughto a knockout stage.

The knockout stage is played to a final with bothremaining players winning a place on the main stageagainst their hero’s whilst picking up a £150.00 inprize money for their trouble.

The Qualifiers are hosted by Team Red Dragon andco-ordinated with the Parc y Scarlets events team,to deliver a top quality darts event as good as anyin the country.

This year’s finalists were Jonny Clayton and TimJones, with Johnny winning the Title of 2014 MastersQualifying Champion.

Jonny Clatyon said

"The whole event from start tofinish is absolutely amazingly well run, the boards atthe events are perfect the venue is superb and theprize really is one that money can’t buy, I just hope Ican hold my nerve on the big stage”.

Runner Up Tim "Teapot” Jones known throughoutSouth Wales and no stranger to the Big Stage as hewas a Lakeside John Smiths Qualifier in the PeoplesDarts event a few years back Tim said

"I’ve playedboth qualifiers and was gutted to miss out last year,so I’m over the moon to be playing in this year’s mainevent it’s a dream come true”
