Red Dragon Darts Shaun Griffiths wins the 2008 European Singles Championship.

In the first round he beat Jake Yates from Wales 3-0, 2nd round he beat Daniel Drue from Denmark 3-1, 3rd round he beat Dimitri Van Den Bergh from Belgium 3-1. Then it was Holland^s youth ranked number 1 Jeffrey Stigter, in the quarter final 2 sets to 1. In the semi-final Shaun beat Jiri Srp, from Czech Republic 2 sets to 0, where Shaun won the first leg in 11 darts and finished on a 92+ 3 dart average. In the final he met Patrick Meaney from the Republic of Ireland, Meaney knocked out Maarten Pape, the winner of the singles last year. Shaun went 2 sets to 1 down through missed doubles but then levelled it to 2 all and took the last set in 18 and 15 darts and finished on an 80+ 3 dart average. Shaun also picked up a silver medal in the England^s team event, who finished runners up to The Netherlands and a silver medal in the overall event, which they also come runner^s up to The Netherlands.
