Spanish star renews Sponsorship deal with Winmau

Winmau, the world’s leading darts brand, has renewed its sponsorship deal with top Spanish player, Jacinto Nieto, for a further two years. Nieto turned his hand to the steeltip game shortly before joining the Winmau stable in 2014 following a glittering 20 year plus softip career. He made the adjustment quickly, winning the Andalucia Championship and reaching the finals of the Spanish National Championships earlier this year. As a Winmau-backed player, Molinero will represent the company and its Spanish distributor, Manuel Gil, at tournaments around the world and will contribute to the development of world-class darts equipment. “The popularity of darts in Spain is exploding,” says Ian Flack, Winmau’s Sales and Marketing Director. “Jacinto is right at the forefront of the sport. With more than 20 world and national softip titles to his name, plus his recent success in the steeltip game, he has a great profile and we are delighted to continue our association with him.” Nieto adds: “I am so proud to continue my relationship with Winmau, as they are unquestionably the darts company that is having the biggest impact in terms of progressing the sport on a global basis. My game is improving all the time and with the help and support of Winmau I am confident that I will be able to add more titles in the future.” The full Winmau range (including Nieto’s signature darts) is available in Spain via their distributor Manuel Gil: Tel: + 34 9636 61098 email: manuelgil@manuelgil.com website: www.manuelgil.com
