Steve Beaton^s Darts Blog

April turned into a busy month after a break with my wife Nanette in the Algarve for my birthday.

I travelled to Scotland for 6 exhibition nights in Aberdeen, Glasgow and  Irvine (approx 1200 mile round trip).
Some of the scenery was breath taking and the sun was out !!!
I had  a great week and would like to thank everyone who helped to make all the nights so successful and also everybody that supported me.
A big thank you to my mate Wullie Burns for all his hard work in planning three of the events.
Here’s to next year, CHEERS!!!!!

We had a great turnout for the Heart of Darts Charity Event at the Porters Lodge in London on the Tuesday evening.
In attendance was myself, Wayne Mardle, Dean Winstanley, Deta Hedman, Erica Wild, Angelina Miele and of course Ian Waller.
At the  last count the evening had raised £2,863.17 with hopefully more to come.
Thank you to all who supported the evening and a big thank you to Paul  Brown for all his hard work in organising such a successful event.

Well I’m happy to have qualified for the European Tour 3 on Friday evening at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan by defeating
Jamie Robinson, Peter Evison and Ken Macneil .
The event will be held at the Maritim Hotel in Dusseldorf,  Germany from 17th-19th May and I have drawn Ritchie Burnett in the first round.
The following day in the UK Open Qualifier I made it to the Quarter Finals defeating Simon Burt, Joey Palfreyman, Peter Wright, Steve West, Dennis Smith and then lost to John Part.
This sealed my place at  the Speedy Services UK Open Televised Finals at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton from the 6th-9th June.
I’m now looking forward to the Pro Tour in Wigan this weekend but unfortunately I have to play in the Qualifier on the Friday evening for the European Tour 4.
Let’s  hope  I have another successful weekend.

Happy Darting
Steve
