The Prince of Wales Re-Signs With Red Dragon

Former World Number 1 Richie Burnett has put pen to paper on a new deal with Red Dragon.

The 1995 World Champion, who is one of darts most colourful characters, both on and off the oche, is loved by many and his return to television darts next year is widely anticipated.

Richie, who will take part in the inaugural World Senior Darts Championship early next year is one of the early front-runners for this event.

This is due to some of the excellent form that Richie has been showing on the Modus Online Darts League, including a perfect 9-dart leg against Scott Williams, the link to watch is below.

Speaking with Red Dragon, Richie said, “It’s great to sign a new deal with Red Dragon. I’ve got a long history with them and I am pleased to keep it going.

“I’m really enjoying my darts at the moment and I believe that I can beat anyone in the Online Darts League or the World Seniors next year.”

Simon Hall, the Marketing Director for Red Dragon told us, “Richie Burnett is brilliant for darts, especially in Wales. He is a fantastic character for the sport and is absolutely box office when he plays, I’m delighted that we have re-signed him and can’t wait to work with him again.”

Simon and Richie caught up fully in the first episode of The Red Dragon Podcast, discussing his new deal, the World Seniors and Richie time on the PDC tour.
