The Red Dragon Yorkshire Masters Darts Open (Stage 5)
"European Feel to Yorks Masters Stage Final"
The YDP event organised in Association with Streamline Taxis (York) and Red Dragon Darts saw Scotland^s Quentin McMaster, going into the Stage 5 Final of The Yorkshire Masters Darts Open, as the man in form hitting 2 x 180^s and 18-20 dart legs then 16-17 in a 3-2 1/4 Final win against Hull^s Jake Patchett (2 x 17) followed by 18-16-19 dart legs in his 3-2 Semi-final victory over Stuart Limbert (16-14). His final opponent was York based German Lutz Leutzsch who had earlier included 17 and 13 dart legs. Lutz defeated York players Dave Kerr 3-0 in the 1/4 finals and Dave Lord 3-2 in the other Semi-final.
The final set off slow with McMaster missing doubles to go 2-1 down. Lutz then hit a 20 darter to take him within one leg of victory only to see McMaster take the 5th leg in 14 darts. Leutz then completed leg 6 in 16 darts and take the £100 Stage Prize. Other qualifiers for the Grand Finals on Saturday 26th January 2013 at Huntington WMC in York were York^s Paul Saville and from Norton Chris Mathews.
Other fast legs came from Martin Usher 20-17, Kerr 18-19-14, Limbert 15-13-15-17, Saville 17-18, Chris Quantock 16-18, Colin Hendry 16, Patchett 15-14, Steve Mann 16, Dave Scaum 15 and Wayne Allen 14. 180^s were scored by Allen, Limbert (2), Hendry (3), Saville (3) and Mathews whilst ton plus finishes were hit by Limbert 100 and 136, Mark Greenley (Driffield) 101, Kevin Samuels (Hunmanby) 114 and Saville 130.

Stage 6 of The Yorkshire Masters Darts Open is at The Greyhound Pub in Bridlington on Saturday 8th December 2012 where 8 more players will qualify for the Grand Finals. £5 Entry Fee taken on the day with the registration closing at 12.30pm. Stages 7 and 8 are at Townville Sports and Social Club, Castleford on 22nd December and East Leeds Snooker Club, Leeds on Saturday 12th January 2013.
