Tough Winmau draw for Bailey
HULL^S Leon Bailey, the winner of the British Teenage Darts Championship for the last two years, has been drawn against Andy Roberts in the first round of the Winmau World Masters at the Bridlington Spa on Friday.
Roberts, from Telford, Shropshire, caused a shock at the UK Open in Bolton in June, when taking the scalps of two former world champions, the women^s champion Anastasia Dobromyslova 6-2 and Steve Beaton by the same score.
The first-round match is at 10am and the winner will meet American Jim Widmayer or Guernsey^s Terry King in the second round at 2pm.
The 18-year-old from Bransholme, will also be in the qualifying round of the Lakeside World Professional at Bridlington on Thursday.
He has drawn Denmark^s Niklas Heinso in the first round at 1.20pm.
The winner meets Stephen Rennie (Northern Ireland) or Glen Durrant (Cleveland) in the second round at 4pm.
Reece Robinson, the west Hull 17-year-old who won the northern area qualifying round of the Winmau world youth championship, has drawn Belgium^s Jason Huybrects in the first round on Friday at 10.30am.
Robinson, who also won the British Masters last month, would play Thomas Sertin (Isle of Man) or Jeremy Cruz (Gibraltar) in the second round at 2.30pm.
