TRINA GULLIVER: 50 NOT OUT!

Winmau’s Trina Gulliver was presented with an award from England Manager, Peter Melton at the 2012 BDO British Internationals for creating darts history by becoming the first female player to win 50 International Caps for representing England.

This is an incredible achievement, especially when you consider that it has only been in the past few seasons that the Ladies have had the opportunity to gain more caps in the Six Nations. The majority of Trina^s matches have been awarded in the BDO British Internationals.

Whilst everyone in darts is aware of her incredible personal records, it is sometimes forgotten that she has such a fantastic record at International level. Including her matches in the 2012 BDO British Internationals, she has won 43 of her 51 matches for England.

When you add this to her awards at Europe Cup and World Cup level, she really has set the bar at a height that will be hard to beat in the future. However, knowing Trina she will want this to inspire other lady players now and in the years ahead.

She is a wonderful ambassador for women’s darts and it without doubt a leader on and off the oche. She is a great Captain for England Ladies, supporting every single player who pulls on an England shirt.

As a nine times Lakeside Women’s World Professional Champion and a five times Winmau World Masters Women’s Champion, Trina has been setting records for many years and it is very fitting that she now becomes the first female player to achieve this outstanding achievement.

Undoubtedly, there are many more caps and records to come in the future.
