Triple World Champion Lisa Ashton Signs With Red Dragon Darts

Triple Women’s World Champion, Lisa Ashton, has signed an exclusive three-year sponsorship with Red Dragon Darts, the company revealed today. To celebrate the deal, Ashton, known around the darting world as ‘The Lancashire Rose’, will be launching her own range of triple world champion darts. She has already begun working with Red Dragon Darts’ team of technicians to develop her perfect set of darts. “Visiting the Red Dragon Darts HQ was an amazing experience as I had no idea the shear level of detail that what went into making custom fit darts and what the possibilities were. It was an amazing experience,” she said. Simon Hall, head of marketing at Red Dragon Darts explained further. “When someone is a three-time world champion and has won as many titles as Lisa, they clearly know more about the game than most people. “The challenge for our technicians is to analyse Lisa’s throw in minute detail and understand how each facet of the dart can be crafted to perfectly suit her style. Lisa has such a classic throwing style and a set of darts that are perfect for her will help other players – both men and women – improve their game as well.” In addition to developing her own range of darts, Lisa will collaborate with other professional players in the Red Dragon Darts stable to help improve and develop other equipment. She will also represent the company at tournaments and events around the world. Lisa’s next challenge will be the 44th Winmau World Masters at Bridlington Spa from September 25-28. Currently ranked third in the BDO tables, she is looking good to qualify as one of the four seeds by the September 11th deadline. “The team at Red Dragon Darts are such decent, down-to-earth people and with their backing I’m even more motivated to fight for more titles,” she said.
