Winmau Announces Partnership with Wheelchair Darts

The newly formed Wheelchair Darts group is committed towards promoting the sport of darts to less-able bodied people of all ages. Winmau has announced its support of Wheelchair Darts and will assist in efforts to make the group and the sport more visible to those with disabilities.

Ian Flack, Sales and Marketing Director of Winmau said: "We are honoured to partner with Wheelchair Darts, and we look forward to working with them to raise awareness of darts for disabled people in the future. There are many disabled people who play the sport, but there are many more out there that can benefit from the rehabilitating and social aspect of playing darts from a wheelchair. We will help Mike and the team at Wheelchair Darts wherever we can in their endeavours to spread darts to a wider disabled audience."

Mike Skuse of Wheelchair Darts added “The support we have received so far has been nothing short of breath taking. We only launched this month (January 2013) and already have nearly 1,000 followers on twitter, which show the incredible nature of the darts community. Winmau have been extremely important in our early development and will play a pivotal role in our future initiatives. We are proud to embrace them as our official darts partner.”
