The final games of the BDO Inter Counties Championships season proved to be very successful for both of the local counties, Warwickshire and West Midlands. Warwickshire played hosts to Cheshire and not one of their four teams lost in an overall 20-16 victory. Saturday’s games saw the ladies finish all square at three each with Noreen Harris taking the lady of the match award with a 16.89 average. The men chalked up their second win of the campaign, a 7-5 verdict, Dave Buckley (25.00) their top man.

In Sunday’s ’A’ games the ladies had a fine 4-2 win. For the third consecutive fixture Clare Bywaters took the match award, on this occasion recording her best average of the season 28.36. Running Clare close was team mate Trina Gulliver, who had a 27.83 average. However, that was not Trina’s most vital statistic her win made it FIFTY straight wins conceding only 14 legs in the process. Trina is the only person ever in the BDO, man or lady, to chalk up 50 straight wins. Well done Trina you are truly a remarkable darts lady.

The ladies were both involved in 4-2 results. The ’B’ lost 4-2, the ’A’ won by the same margin. Claire Hobbs (17.14) and Angie Perry (23.48) took the respective awards.

Both men’s teams won 7-5. The ’B’ team upheld their unbeaten record and the man of the match award was shared by Darren Williams and Martin Tibbetts, who both had a 27.33 average. Lol Frazer (28.36) was the ’A’ side’s top man.
