A 6-3 victory over Hill Social has confirmed Midland red as champions of division one of the Four Oaks and District League. Second placed Yenton Exiles, who won 7-2 at the Sportsmans Rest have a game in hand on the Red’s, but due to their inferior average they have no chance of overtaking them.
In the second division the title will be decided on the result of the outstanding fixture between Barn Social and Good Hope Flights. If Barn Social win the match they will also win the divisional title, should they lose then Bromford Lions will overtake them and claim the title.

Red Arrows clinched the Forest of Arden Winter League title in style as they handed out a 9-0 whitewash to Greville Arrows. Mackadown Sports and Social, who are in second place suffered a surprising 5-4 defeat at home to Sheldon Heath Flights, but nevertheless they will still finish the season as runners up. In form for Mackadown were Chris Vann, who hit a maximum and R.Heaven who checked out on 150. R.Ward (Greville Arms) was another player to hit a 180 as his side finished on the wrong side of a 5-4 scoreline at the Harvester.

The Forest of Arden Summer League will be holding their AGM at Sheldon Heath Social on Wednesday 13th April at 8-00pm. Anyone interested in entering a team into the league for the forthcoming season should attend this meeting. Premier division title contenders Saltley Amateur Gardeners and Fordbridge Social both chalked up wins in their latest fixtures. Saltley had a close 5-4 home win over Castle Vale Residents Association, while Fordbridge recorded a convincing 7-2 home victory against Malt Shovel.
Shard End RBL ’A’ suffered a setback in division one, going down 5-4 at RAFA. Meanwhile, Sheldon Social kept their title aspirations alive with a 6-3 win over Pavilions.
The gap widens at the top of the second division as leaders Yardley Ex Service Colts beat Gunmakers Arms 5-4 and Old Bill and Bull lost ground as they were beaten by the same margin by Sedgemere Flights.

Robert Earl continues to impress in the Brookmeadow Individual League as he added anothe two straight 3-0 wins to the two he recorded in the opening week’s game. This week Earl accounted for Keith Kelly and Mark Showering. In the first match he hit 180, 140 and 4x100, then against Showering he hit another 180, plus 140,125,120 and 100. John Whitehouse is not far behind Earl. He also had two 3-0 wins last week and added another against Ben Wilkins this week plus a maximum. However, in his tie with Alan Smith he did drop a leg and won 2-1.
Best finish of the week went to Andy Smith, a 130 finish in his 3-0 win over Terry Blakemore.
The league also began their singles knockout. In the preliminary round John Whitehouse, with 2x180,140,121 and 3x100 beat Mark Elkin 3-1. In the other game played Andy Smith won 3-0 against Terry Blakemore.

Mitre extended their 100% record to eight wins in the Small Heath League by beating Victoria Flights 8-1. With 16 points Mitre are just two ahead of Custard House who had a tremendous 9-0 win over bottom of the table Victoria Pub.

There is no change at the top of the Tamworth Cue Sports League as Globe hold on to pole position with a 7-1 win at Two Gates Club. Second placed White Lion lost a little ground as they could only draw 4-4 at home to Red Lion ’A’.
The leading three teams in the second division finished all square at 4-4. Top of the table Mercian were held at home by third placed Cue Sports and second placed Kettlebrook shared the spoils with Hopwas.
