In John’s first game against Jimmy Frost he hit three, Frost doing well to restrict his defeat to 2-1. Ainsworth then followed up with two more180’s in a 3-0 victory over Derek Fardon to consolidate his fourth place in the table. Steve Cain was another man to hit two maxis has he beat title chaser David Platt 2-1. Other’s to hit three treble twenties were Peter Allen, Dawn Barnes Gordon Clinton, Paul Cummings and Richie Shenton.
