DARTS ACE BROWN SIGNS FOR RILEYS!

PDC star to develop academies at Rileys clubs in South West

I have been lucky enough to have a few private chats with Steve ^Bomber^ Brown in recent months, so knew that something big was around the corner for his darts academy - well now the news can be released....

 

Steve Brown with Darts Academy players - coming to Rileys all over the South West.

 

Darts ace Steve “The Bomber” Brown has joined Rileys as a Darts Club Professional and will take charge of youth academies at at seven Rileys clubs in the South West.
Brown, 30, of Whitchurch, Bristol, will develop  academies for players aged eight to 16 in Bristol, Exeter, Gloucester, Plymouth, Taunton, Torquay and Worcester.
World No 35 Brown has competed on the PDC pro tour since 2006. He shot to fame on his World Matchplay debut in 2010, with a victory over PDC No 5 Terry Jenkins.
Brown won his maiden pro tour title in February 2011, notching up a notable victory over PDC No 6 Simon Whitlock.


Brown said: “I’m delighted to join the team at Rileys. The Darts Zones facilities are a top class place to practice and compete.  There are a lot of talented players in the South West and I hope we can help develop some future World Champions in the youth academies.”
“The key things I’m looking for in young darts players are a good attitude, a willingness to learn and good technique.”


Rileys Chief Executive Maurice Kelly said: “We are thrilled to welcome Steve Brown to our team. He is a fantastic signing for Rileys and will be fantastic for our customers. Steve is a top player, who has faced some of the biggest names in the sport – we are delighted he will pass his experience on to a new generation of talented youngsters at Rileys clubs.”
Brown will also organise darts tournaments and competitions at Rileys clubs in the South West region.
Rileys will host the biggest tournaments in amateur darts in the UK this year with £10,000 up for grabs in Doubles, Team, Singles and Over-40s categories.
