Darts News - Alan Towe’s The Line On Darts – Derbyshire v Dorset

After winning promotion to division one of the BDO Inter County Championships last season, Derbyshire have suffered a tough initiation losing all four of their opening games to leave them at the end of 2015 bottom of the table with 59 points already thirteen short of safety. However there are still five fixtures to play and four of the teams they will play are in the bottom half of the table, County Durham being the other opponents and they are in a mid table position. So all may not be lost as there are certainly games to be won and points to be gained to lift them from the foot of the table to safety and retain their division one status.

This coming weekend Derbyshire have a home tie against Dorset who are four places and seventeen points ahead of them but a win could well be the confidence booster required to kick start their season and see them climb away from the relegation zone.

Lining up for Derbyshire will be, Men’s ‘A’:- Paul Bettney, Darron Brown, Nigel Daniels, Tim Daniels, Gary Fenn, Richard Hanson, Andrew McCracken, Paul Mellor, Darran Sinfield, Robert Smith, Lee Stanley, Alan Statham, Men’s ‘B’:- Dave Allcock, Adrian Asprey, Paul Baker, Tony Cresswell, Adrian Daniels, Sean Lambert, Ian Scobbie, Peter Slater, Steve Soar, Ash Spencer, Mark Walker, Rob Wood, Reserves:- Ian Allcock, Jim Beardmore, John Clifford, Keith Cooper, Craig Freeman, Wayne Howe, Joe Osgothorpe, Scott Parkin, Richard Rawding, Rob Stansbury, Paul Williams, Women’s ‘A’:- Sammi Clarke, Jane Densley, Sara Harrison, Lauren Jackson, Sara Jukes, Jennifer McCormick, Women’s ‘B’:- Rachel Bird, Kelly Dean, Dee Fenn, Louise Rawson-Lee, Alison Shilton, Jackie Sweet, Reserves:- Rachel Ayres, Dawn Buckley, Nicola Fletcher, Lyn Gilbert, Janice Pearce.
