Darts News - Alan Towe’s The Line On Darts – Shropshire v Bedfordshire
Shropshire
will be hoping that 2016 will be kinder to them than 2015 as in their opening
four fixtures of the season in division four of the BDO Inter County
Championships they had just one win, one draw and two defeats. Nevertheless
with five games still to play they are still in a healthy fourth position with
71 points just five short of second placed Montgomery and Radnor and only
eleven off top placed Middlesex, so there is still plenty to play for and
promotion is still a real possibility.
This coming weekend Shropshire will play hosts to Bedfordshire who are two places and six points below them so a win could well be on the cards to help in their challenge for a promotion place.
Selected to play for Shropshire are, Men’s ‘A’:- Richard Parker, Andi Chatter, Peter Eley, Neville Quinton, Danny James, Kevin Harris, Roger Taylor, Derek Coulson, John Cooper, Ian Pallett, Neil Powell, John Cornmell, Men’s ‘B’:- Jacob Perrins, Brian Hickman, Martin Riggs, Martin Angell, Clive Lucking, Nathan Storar, Rob Harris, Phil Austin, Andre Knox, Louis Burley, Eddie Austin, Matt Williams, Reserves:- Wayne Speed, Nigel Sandbrook, Mick O’Neill, Peter Trott, Rob Trumper, Women’s ‘A’:- Marie Riggs, Stephanie Clarke, Julie Griffiths, Michele Pritchard, Kath McLean, Mandy Morgan, Women’s ‘B’:- Kirsty Jenks, Sophie Fawcett, Lynne Watton, Grace Angell, Caroline Powell, Leanne Quinton, Reserves:- Sue Lane, Deanna Worrall, Millie Holt.
