Article: DENNIS PRIESTLY RED DRAGON DARTS - AUGUST PLAYER OF THE MONTH.

DENNIS PRIESTLY RED DRAGON DARTS - AUGUST PLAYER OF THE MONTH.

After a busy July - with two big PDC tournaments and on the BDO front with the Lakeside qualifiers and the Winmau World Masters in September, August is a relatively quiet month on the professional darts circuit. Arguably the most high-profile darts appearences have come from Red Dragon pin-up girl Sophie Reade as she wowed Big Brother audiences with her own special - well shall we say attributes!

However special mention to the ever popular Andy Fordham for a pairs win in Holland, Ian White for a pairs win in Holland and also winning the Denmark Open singles. Also continued good form from Scotland^s John Henderson who scooped the Didam Open in Holland and who also cemented his place at the Lakeside via the qualifiers in Bridlington.

However for winning the Canadian Players Championship and the PDC US Open, the Red Dragon player of the month winner has to be the evergreen Dennis Priestley. The legendary ^Menace^ has recently claimed he may at the very least ease up on his darting commitments and even quit the game altogether, however for now he remains a fearsome competitor and when on form has shown he is still capable of rolling back the years to show everyone what a great player he was and indeed is. Dennis^ recent health issues are well documented and that makes his August achievements all the more remarkable. Very well done Dennis !
