ELITE AND JUNIOR DARTS HIT NOTTINGHAM

Nottingham city were very proud to host the PDC Premier League darts on Thursday 9th February 2017 and Room 180 were very lucky to be visited by stars of the PDC darts world. Children from the Glapton Academy participated in darting activities that were hosted by Central College Nottingham and their Room 180 darts academy. The event included maths activities and practical darting games for the school children. Pictured below are PDC star, Kyle Anderson and sports student Morgan Budha, providing darting tips to a young player. Room 180, Gary Anderson The event involved a bullseye challenge and pictured are the winners gaining their certificates from Kyle and PDC Director, Rod Harrington. Room 180, Nottingham, JDC Room 180, JDC, Nottingham The school children loved the activities and can be seen above with their Bully winner pictures, signed by Kyle and presented to them by Rod, JDC and PDC star Steve Brown and the young dart star, John Brown. The event included the initial launch for the new 5ft. and 6f.t height/oche distances for under 10 darts and also focused on the new GreenZone board that is available from Winmau. The GreenZone has been developed to help young players enjoy the sport and to allow them an even playing field when it comes to doubling. JDC, Green Zone, Room180 The event finished off with all youngsters gaining a certifcate signed by the PDC stars which concluded a wonderful afternoon of darts. Room 180 visit Parkwood Primary school on the 23rd February to continue with the development of darts in the Nottingham area.
