The Sheldon and District Winter League staged the preliminary round of their divisional league cup and in the premier division there was a shock for third in the table Langley Hall Sports and Social Arrows as they went down 12-9 away to Saltley Amateur Gardeners who have lost the opening two games in the league and are currently bottom of the table. In the other premier division game divisional leaders The Lyndon had a comfortable 15-6 win over The Harvester.
The division one games also produced a somewhat surprising result as Willclare Sports and Social who are currently second in the table lost 14-7 away to Crown-Forget-Me-Not who are sixth. Sheldon Marlborough Arrows won their tie with George ‘V’ 12-9.
Just one game in division two which saw Meadway Sports and Social win 15-6 against bottom of the table Langley Hall Sports and Social Flights.

Week four of the South Birmingham League’s season saw division one side Erdington Members Club lose their unbeaten record as they lost 6-3 to divisional leaders Mackadown Social who go two points ahead of Erdington and remain two ahead of Coleshill Social whose 8-1 win at The Trident has seen them take over second place on average from Erdington.
In the second division The Dog made it four straight wins when they won 8-1 against Toby Jug to open up a two points lead over their opponents who are second in the table, this being their first defeat in four games.

The Forest of Arden Winter League had the preliminary round of their League Cup on the agenda and in division one there was a 6-3 win for Ivy Leaf over Greville Arrows while in the Highwood local derby in division two it was Highwood Arms who got the close 5-4 verdict over Highwood Exiles. Inn on the Green had a more convincing 7-2 win against Chelmsley Town.

In division one of the Four Oaks and District League Drakes Drum by winning the final two games against Bishop Vesey turned around a 3-2 deficit into a 6-3 win. Despite throwing well Pint Pot Flights were unable to win a game against Boldmere St Mikes as the division’s leaders stormed to a 9-0 victory. Although Boldmere had such a big win they only lead the table by one leg of average over The Boat who had a bye this week. Plough and Arrows outscored their opponents Old Oscott WMC but after five games are still seeking their first win of the campaign.
Division two produced a local derby between Erdington Club and Erdington Arrows and again Club scored more tons than Arrows but it was Arrows who got the 5-4 result. Red Lion with a narrow 5-4 result over bottom team Rosey Mac’s are on the same eight points as leaders The Fox who beat The Duke 7-2.
Both of this week’s 180’s came from Boldmere St Mikes with N.Smallwood hitting his first and M.Ashton his third for the season.

The Sheldon Marlborough Cricket Club darts team staged a charity game against the Gulp Charity squad the hosts winning the singles game 4-3 and the doubles 2-1. The trebles game finished all square at one each but the biggest winner on the night was charity with the evening raising a terrific amount of £300 which will be donated to the Air Ambulance Charity Fund.

With 3-0 wins over Tony Daly and Brian Lawton plus a 3-1 win against Mark Cater, Mick Gorst has gone from sixth to the top of the Shirley Red Lion Premier League with a total of 47 points from 18 games. Former leader Paul Higgins has also moved up from fifth to second with 45 points after he beat Dave Fisher 3-0 and Mick Bown 3-1.

Congratulations to Mick Baker who has retained his Winmau Centre Thursday Night Champions League title together with the league prize money plus another twelve months sponsorship deal from Winmau. Baker who had rearranged fixtures to play caught up and ended the season with a total of 224 points to overtake Louis Burley who has topped the table for a good part of the season, Burley ending the campaign with 217 points seven short of Baker. Another former leader Kevin Harris finished third with 214 points.

The top two teams in the Brierley Hill Friday Night League Pensnett Welfare Club ‘A’ and Brickmakers Arms both handed out 7-0 whitewashes to their respective opponents Britannia Inn and The Gate (Colley Gate). Despite their big win Brickmakers remain two points behind the leaders but go two ahead of third placed Netherton Cricket Club ‘A’ who lost 5-2 playing away to Samson and Lion who are fifth and on the same points as their opponents. The Stourbridge and District Monday Night League title was so fiercely contested that the outcome was decided on the very last rearranged fixture of the season. Prior to the encounter between Ten Arches ‘B’ and Ashwood Ten Arches ‘A’ topped the table with 72 points, their ‘B’ team lying in third place, but the ‘B’ team won 6-3 against Ashwood to put them on the same 72 points and clinch the title on average over their ‘A’ side.
The final table saw just two points separating the top five teams, after the winners and runners up came Brickamkers Arms, Bird ‘A’ (Stourbridge) and Britannia Inn all on 70 points.
The season’s highest start of 160 went to A.Moreton, V.Mitchell (Bird ‘A’) and R.Colly (Britannia), while G.Cartwright (Britannia) had the highest possible finish of 170 plus the most wins 36 from 41 games. A.Moreton also had the least darts a perfect six darts game.

The Hilltop Friendly Tuesday Night League played the final of the Rickuss Cup and there was sweet revenge for league champions Dewdrop who lost 4-3 to The Vine in the final of the Black Country Windscreens Trophy but on this occasion they beat The Vine 6-1 with Wayne Griffiths recording a perfect game of darts for Dewdrop when he won his match in six darts.

The Nutan march on in both sections of the Bilston and District League, in the 301 league they won their latest fixture against Red Lion 5-2 to stay two points ahead of Lanesfield RBL who had a similar 5-2 win over Allens Sports Bar ‘B’ and leaves Lanesfield with a game in hand on the leaders.
The 3-0 win in the 501 league over Red Lion puts The Nutan four points to the good on second placed Tilted Barrel after they won 2-1 against Bilston Conservative Club ‘A’, Tilted Barrel have played eleven games to Nutan’s twelve.

As the Rowley Monday Night League’s season is fast drawing to an end there is a battle royal going on for the title as three teams Springfield Social Club, Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’ and The Bell are all locked together at the top of the table on 52 points.

A surprising 5-0 defeat by Ten Arches, who are seventh in the West Midlands Men’s Super League table, over Landywood ‘A’, who were top and as a result now drop to second two points behind new leaders Crown ‘A’. Pavilions have lost pole position in division two of the Wolverhampton Tuesday Night League, their latest fixture was a vital top of the table clash with second placed Sunbeam and they lost the game 4-3 and at the same time the number one spot being replaced by their victors who now have a two points lead over them, Dog and Partridge and Riley’s ‘A’.

Week four of the South Birmingham League’s season saw division one side Erdington Members Club lose their unbeaten record as they lost 6-3 to divisional leaders Mackadown Social who go two points ahead of Erdington and remain two ahead of Coleshill Social whose 8-1 win at The Trident has seen them take over second place on average from Erdington.
In the second division The Dog made it four straight wins when they won 8-1 against Toby Jug to open up a two points lead over their opponents who are second in the table, this being their first defeat in four games.

The Forest of Arden Winter League had the preliminary round of their League Cup on the agenda and in division one there was a 6-3 win for Ivy Leaf over Greville Arrows while in the Highwood local derby in division two it was Highwood Arms who got the close 5-4 verdict over Highwood Exiles. Inn on the Green had a more convincing 7-2 win against Chelmsley Town.

In division one of the Four Oaks and District League Drakes Drum by winning the final two games against Bishop Vesey turned around a 3-2 deficit into a 6-3 win. Despite throwing well Pint Pot Flights were unable to win a game against Boldmere St Mikes as the division’s leaders stormed to a 9-0 victory. Although Boldmere had such a big win they only lead the table by one leg of average over The Boat who had a bye this week. Plough and Arrows outscored their opponents Old Oscott WMC but after five games are still seeking their first win of the campaign.
Division two produced a local derby between Erdington Club and Erdington Arrows and again Club scored more tons than Arrows but it was Arrows who got the 5-4 result. Red Lion with a narrow 5-4 result over bottom team Rosey Mac’s are on the same eight points as leaders The Fox who beat The Duke 7-2.
Both of this week’s 180’s came from Boldmere St Mikes with N.Smallwood hitting his first and M.Ashton his third for the season.

The Sheldon Marlborough Cricket Club darts team staged a charity game against the Gulp Charity squad the hosts winning the singles game 4-3 and the doubles 2-1. The trebles game finished all square at one each but the biggest winner on the night was charity with the evening raising a terrific amount of £300 which will be donated to the Air Ambulance Charity Fund.

With 3-0 wins over Tony Daly and Brian Lawton plus a 3-1 win against Mark Cater, Mick Gorst has gone from sixth to the top of the Shirley Red Lion Premier League with a total of 47 points from 18 games. Former leader Paul Higgins has also moved up from fifth to second with 45 points after he beat Dave Fisher 3-0 and Mick Bown 3-1.

Congratulations to Mick Baker who has retained his Winmau Centre Thursday Night Champions League title together with the league prize money plus another twelve months sponsorship deal from Winmau. Baker who had rearranged fixtures to play caught up and ended the season with a total of 224 points to overtake Louis Burley who has topped the table for a good part of the season, Burley ending the campaign with 217 points seven short of Baker. Another former leader Kevin Harris finished third with 214 points.
With the season now almost completed plans are already in place for the fourth season which will get underway on the 24th November at the Winmau Darts Centre in the Wolverhampton Indoor Community Sports Stadium, Racecourse Road, WV6 0QU.

The Camp Hill League played off their doubles knockout and adding yet another title to his ever increasing list was Neil Parsonage together with his partner Matt Cooper. Parsonage and Cooper representing Cotterills Lane Club beat Nathan Prentice and Reece Williams (Tyseley WMC) in the final.

The top two teams in the Brierley Hill Friday Night League Pensnett Welfare Club ‘A’ and Brickmakers Arms both handed out 7-0 whitewashes to their respective opponents Britannia Inn and The Gate (Colley Gate). Despite their big win Brickmakers remain two points behind the leaders but go two ahead of third placed Netherton Cricket Club ‘A’ who lost 5-2 playing away to Samson and Lion who are fifth and on the same points as their opponents. Pensnett Welfare ‘B’ in fourth place also had a setback as they lost their home tie with Dudley Sports 4-3 to put them on the 16 points as Cricket Club ‘A’ and Samson and Lion.

The Stourbridge and District Monday Night League title was so fiercely contested that the outcome was decided on the very last rearranged fixture of the season. Prior to the encounter between Ten Arches ‘B’ and Ashwood Ten Arches ‘A’ topped the table with 72 points, their ‘B’ team lying in third place, but the ‘B’ team won 6-3 against Ashwood to put them on the same 72 points and clinch the title on average over their ‘A’ side.
The final table saw just two points separating the top five teams, after the winners and runners up came Brickamkers Arms, Bird ‘A’ (Stourbridge) and Britannia Inn all on 70 points.
The season’s highest start of 160 went to A.Moreton, V.Mitchell (Bird ‘A’) and R.Colly (Britannia), while G.Cartwright (Britannia) had the highest possible finish of 170 plus the most wins 36 from 41 games. A.Moreton also had the least darts a perfect six darts game.

The Hilltop Friendly Tuesday Night League played the final of the Rickuss Cup and there was sweet revenge for league champions Dewdrop who lost 4-3 to The Vine in the final of the Black Country Windscreens Trophy but on this occasion they beat The Vine 6-1 with Wayne Griffiths recording a perfect game of darts for Dewdrop when he won his match in six darts.

As the Rowley Monday Night League’s season is fast drawing to an end there is a battle royal going on for the title as three teams Springfield Social Club, Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’ and The Bell are all locked together at the top of the table on 52 points.

A surprising 5-0 defeat by Ten Arches, who are seventh in the West Midlands Men’s Super League table, over Landywood ‘A’, who were top and as a result now drop to second two points behind new leaders Crown ‘A’. Crown ‘A’ won their home tie against Bridgtown Social 4-1 and still have the benefit of a game in hand on Landywood.
