Jamie “Yozza” Hughes came through the BDO system to break into the top 10 in the world. In 2014 he reached the Final of the prestigious Winmau World Masters, quickly following this with back-to-back Lakeside Semi Finals in 2016 and 2017.

In 2019 Jamie took the step to go to Q-School, winning his Tour Card at the first attempt. In his first year as a Tour Card holder Jamie shot up the rankings and was looking to break into the top 32.

Yozza has impressed many with his relaxed yet focussed style of play, where he does not get drawn into any mind games or tricks from his opponent and is purely fixated on his own game. This approach led to some great results early on in his PDC career as he quickly lifted his first televised PDC title on the Euro Tour and qualified for the World Matchplay at the first time of asking, repeating the feat the following year.

Jamie has always played with a classic long parallel barrel, but with a unique Yozza twist. Jamie said “I’ve used the same darts for absolutely years and they were worn out on the grip, so I wanted my new darts to have perfect feel and grip yet with a sort of slightly worn in feel. The guys at Red Dragon have done an amazing job and these darts are absolutely spot on”.
