Born in Ipswich, Suffolk, Meikle is a barber by trade, hence his stage name of "The Barber". His journey into the professional darts scene took a significant leap in 2016 when he secured a PDC Pro Tour card after successfully navigating the second day of Q School.
His inaugural appearance on the PDC European Tour occurred at the 2016 International Darts Open in Riesa, Germany. There, he showcased his prowess by whitewashing Michael Rasztovits 6–0, highlighted by an impressive 151 checkout. Although slated to face world number one Michael van Gerwen in the next round, fate intervened as Van Gerwen withdrew due to an ankle injury. This twist of events granted Meikle a bye to round three, where he faced Yordi Meeuwisse, ultimately succumbing 6–2.
The year 2018 marked another milestone for Meikle as he clinched his second PDC Development Tour title. His victory came in the final of Development Tour 11 in Wigan, where he triumphed over Rowby-John Rodriguez with a scoreline of 5–3.
In 2019, Meikle's journey included a notable achievement, reaching the semi-finals of the PDC World Youth Championship. Despite a commendable effort, he faced a 6–3 defeat at the hands of Adam Gawlas in the semi-final clash.
