After handing out a 9-0 whitewash to Quinton Members Club in the opening fixture of the season, Hillyfields made it two out of two in the Harborne and District 301 Winter League when they beat New Inns 7-2. The George and Raven also maintained their 100% records as in turn they defeated Bartley Green F.C and the Cock Inn, both scorelines 7-2. Pheasant suffered their first defeat as they returned from W.C WMC with a 5-4 reversal.
John Titley, of the Highlander, hit the league’s first maximum of the season as his team won their home tie against Old Mill 5-4, while George representative Eddie Simpson recorded the fastest leg so far as he checked out in nine darts including a 160 break.

Shard End RBL ’A’ gained a memorable victory in the premier division of the Sheldon and District Winter League this week. Newly promoted from division one, Shard End travelled to Fordbridge Social, the premier division’s reigning champions, and chalked up a fantastic 5-4 victory. Top man in Highwoods 8-1 win at Mackadown Social was B.Nixon, who took just eight darts for his winning leg. P.Taylor (Malt Shovel) was another player to win in eight darts and also record a 160 break however, his team lost their home game with Sheldon Dukes 7-2.
It was division one that provided the fastest leg of the week, T.Price from RAFA broke with 160, hit 123 and checked out in just seven darts in a 5-4 win over Vaughans, whose E.Kennedy had anine darts leg. Pavilions R.Agar hit a 180.

Despite having their match with Wagon and Horses cancelled, Bromford Bridge Members Club ’A’ still held on to pole position in the Small Heath League with 16 points. Second placed Mitre had a 6-3 win at Victoria Flights but are still two points adrift of the leaders. Third and Fourth placed Custard House and Innisfree battled it out on the Innisfree board, but it was the visitors who got the better of the 6-3 result.
In the league’s Upside Down Cup Victoria 301 Club pulled off the shock of the round as they played away to Custard House and won 7-2. Another Victoria, this time Flights also won away, beating their local rivals Victoria 6-3.

The Barmy Army have opened up a four points lead at the top of the G.U.L.P. Charity League. A close 4-3 verdict over their nearest rivals Tigers has given the Army a total of 16 points and now makes them favourites to clinch the title and make them the third consecutive different team to win the league championship.
The Tribe kept the pressure on Tigers for the runners up spot with a 5-2 win at fourth in the table Vic Beasts. Tribe are now only two points behind Tigers with a game in hand.
A decisive 6-1 win against Red Lion Flights has made the Who’s, the early leaders in the shadow league. Radley Rebels, who beat Red Devils 5-2 have just one leg fewer than the Who’s.
In the doubles league Tigers are top on 12 points, the Tribe are second on 10 and Barmy Army third with 9 points.
